Electrical Project Engineer, Madison, WI

Growing employee-owned engineering consulting firm is looking for an Electrical Project Engineer for their Madison, Wisconsin office. The engineer will design electrical power, fire alarm, security systems, lighting and other systems for a diverse group of clients within industrial, commercial buildings, military and aviation sectors. The candidate will work on a work on a wide range of projects from aviation electrical projects such as designing of runway lighting, control towers to commercial fire alarm and security systems. The ideal individual will be a self-starter that works well in a fast-paced deadline oriented environment. The company is a family-oriented environment that takes care of their employees and believes in the "work hard/play hard mentality."
Requirements:
- Bachelors in Electrical Engineering
- 5-7 years of experience
- Professional Engineer in WI or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Preference given to engineers with prior work experience in one of the following systems: lighting, power, fire detection, communication, power distribution. Familiarity with electrical construction standards is also a plus.
- Familiarity with related software such as: AutoCAD lighting software (preference given to AGI), power design software (preference given to SKM Power Tools).
- Strong computer, writing, organizational and communication skills are a plus.
- Should possess strong problem solving and listening skills with the ability to follow out instructions.
